I Click, I See and I Shop (The Online Shop)

Some friends of mine are definitely addicted to online shops, particularly the ones for babies. According to them, you could find unique, non-mass product and cheaper baby stuffs. All you have to do is browse and click. As simple as that…

Not long after I reach my 7 months pregnancy that they begun to influence me with the online shops benefit and efficiency. Since verbal marketing didn’t work, they started to send me pictures of cute baby stuffs. Well, that one definitely works…

To limit my addiction to online shops, I tried my best which apparently still not my best hehe to buy only those required according to my Baby’s Shopping Checklist.

I must admit that the price is quite competitive between one online shop to another, so you have to diligently search for the cheapest.

Specifically for Clodi, I compared the price in each original country (including shipping fee) with those sold on online shops and the difference is really not that significant.

CLODI
Based on a review in the mommiesdaily, I noted that all the premium brands for clodi are from the United States. So I decided to buy 1 clodi for each premium brands, namely Roomparooz, Blueberry, Starbunz and Happy Heinys. I know that they have a local outlet for Roomparooz at Plaza Indonesia, so no worry for that one.

A friend of mine forwarded an online shop address, called Kireina Baby Shop, which sell all kinds of baby products (mostly from the United States), including the premium brands clodi.

I browse, I click and I see what I like. A Blueberry Minky Clodi Velcro with cow pattern, nice! (Lil' B will be definitely mad at me when he grows up and see his picture with a stupid cow prints clodi on his butt hehe...sorry kiddo!). Since it is verrrryyyy pricy, I decided to buy one clodi in a month. It includes two inserts, so I don’t have to buy one more.
I also ordered the bumgenius detergent which suitable for any brands of clodi.

I submitted my orders on Friday and the clodi with detergent arrived on Monday. Happy!!!

CROCS
Like any other prego, my feet starts swollen and look like ‘kaki gajah’. I need a comfortable shoe to wonder around. Reading Dinda’s post, I decided to follow her track to buy Crocs, Malindi type.

Fully aware that I have a destructive feet (meaning everything I wear always dysfunction in less than a year, no matter how expensive it is), I decided not to buy the Crocs from the authorised outlet since it will cost me more than 400 thou.

So I browsed and found Buaya Karet, an online shop which sell any type of Crocs with almost half the outlet price. Like the Clodi, I ordered on Friday and the Malindi arrived on Monday morning. Now I’m happily walking around with my Plum Malindi. Another happy face…

DEVIL BABY BLANKET
I admit that this one is an impulsive and unnecessary online shopping hehe…But its really cute and inevitable to be bought.

It’s a blanket for travelling purpose called the Devil Baby Blanket…it has ears and tail and doesn’t cost much. CUTE!!! I bought it from an online shop in Facebook called Joyleen Bebe.

I must say, I love online shopping mostly because it’s easy and I don’t have to move my butt to a baby shop and go crazy for buying lotsa cute and unnecessary baby stuffs.

Dont You Just Love Babyshopping?

Following the Before and After 7 Months Shopping Cart, I did another baby shopping which was aimed to complete my Baby Shopping Checklist and hopefully the last shopping.

I decided to bring my mother in law, hoping that she could point out the “do’s” and the “dont’s” stuff to buy. At the end, she was the one who made me bought stuffs that were not included in the checklist *sigh*.

This time with full preparation. Got my checklist, my pen and babyshop recommendation as well as directory in hands. Based on my blogwalking, the recommended babyshop is the Jungle on the 4th floor and Ocha on the 1st floor.

The Jungle
Surprisingly, tokonya ga gitu ramai. Minimal ga seramai waktu kita belanja pertama kali di Wiwi & Zaza. Beda sama hasil review orang-orang di berbagai blog.

Waktu kita datang mba-mbanya juga ga terlalu antusias buat nanya butuh apa, apalagi ngambilin barang yang kita minta. Karena udah percaya sama hasil review orang-orang, kita percaya aja kalau di toko itu udah yang paling super harganya.

Sayangnya, banyak barang di checklist kita yang ga ada. Alasannya habis dan belum tau kapan datangnya.


Hasilnya, kita cuma dapat ini:

Kita juga beli 2 items tambahan buat kado teman yang baru aja melahirkan. Total belanja Rp 826.000, langsung pasang muka melas minta diskon. Yang punya toko cukup teriak dari dalam tanpa memperlihatkan muka “DISKON JADI Rp 815.000*. lumayaaannn…

Ocha
Sebagian besar review di blog tidak menyarankan si toko Ocha dengan alasan yang punya toko jutek dan sok tau. Makanya kita ga kepikiran buat mampir disini dari awal. Tapi karna di the Jungle barangnya banyak yang abis dan kita males bolak balik buat belanja lagi, jadinya kita cari sisa barang yang nggak ada di toko ini.

Tokonya sih ga gitu gede, itungannya kecil kalau dibandingin sama Wiwi & Zaza dan the Jungle, tapi keadaan disini jauh lebih rame daripada di kedua toko terdahulu. Bahkan si Nciknya ga ngumpet di balik meja kasir, tapi turun langsung ngelayanin pelanggan. Emang sih ngomongnya agak ceplas ceplos dan mungkin kedengeran sok tau, tapi ternyata cihui tuuuhhh…harga untuk beberapa barang juga lebih murah di toko ini, kalaupun ada yang lebih mahal paling cuma Rp2.000 – Rp 5.000.

Di toko ini, prinsip beli seperlunya pupus sudah. Prinsipnya ganti jadi, ya udahlah…euphoria anak pertama ini, halal kalau beli yang lucu-lucu walau ga perlu hehehe.

Kita harus nurut kata orang tua dong aaaahh ^.~ Rak botol yang beli di the Jungle pun akhirnya berguna sebagai kado lahiran teman hehe

18. Supreme Snuggle Nest (1 pcs) Rp 230.000 Yang ini sih super ga penting sebenernya dan Cuma bisa dipake maksimal sampai umur 4 bulan.
    Pertimbangan beli ini adalah sebagai pencegahan Lil’ B ketimpa Didi yang tidurnya suka ga beraturan.
    Selain itu, karena ini sifatnya sebagai travelling bed, bisa juga melindungi Lil’ B dari sepupu-sepupu kecilnya yang kalau lagi ngumpul dan liat bayi suka gemes berlebihan. Mengingat waktu dia lahir nanti bakal banyak banget acara keluarga, membeli si supreme ini tampaknya menjadi keputusan yang sangat tepat.

Banyak yang ga penting kan? Hehehe…Total belanja (after discount) Rp 1.575.000 ajah *nangis meraung-raung sambil garuk-garuk tanah*

Mengingat jumlah yang sudah dikeluarkan sejauh ini, tampaknya babyshopping hanya untuk di ITC Kuningan harus diakhiri sampai disini. Mari kita mulai melirik online shop ajah *eh?!*

Anak nakal colongan belanja keperluan bayi sebelum 7 bulan…alasan utama mumpung lagi dinas ke Singapura.

Mengingat kapasitas bagasi yang terbatas dan udah penuh dengan barang-barang belanjaan gue, jadinya ga bisa belanja banyak-banyak deh.

Gue sangat bersyukur di daerah kantor gue ada semacam sogo jongkok yang jual bermacam-macam benda murah dan KW dengan kualitas dan harga bersaing (dengan ITC manapun).

Salah satu langganan gue saat ini adalah si Abang Badjuri, penjual beraneka macam perlengkapan dan baju bayi serta anak-anak.

Sebenernya gue gatau nama aslinya sih, tapi mukanya dan cara ngomongnya sungguh mirip dan tampaknya dia sama sekali nggak keberatan gue panggil itu hehe…

Baru dikit sih yang dibeli dari si Abang Badjuri, tapi barang-barang yang dibeli ini terbukti lebih murah daripada di ITC.

Yah lumayanlah kalau mau beli perintilan barang bayi yang lucu-lucu tanpa harus bersusah payah, berpanas-panasan dan buang ongkos buat ke ITC terdekat.

Part 3 - 7 months (at last)
Finally, we did my official our first baby shopping.

Setelah susah payah browsing sana sini buat nyontek mempersiapkan Daftar Perlengkapan Bayi, pas hari H daftarnya ga dibawa aja *bleeehhh*.

Not to panic…semua toko bayi ternyata menyediakan daftar perlengkapan sendiri. Untunglah kita melangkah kaki ke ITC nggak 100% clueless…

Eits mendadak gue jadi clueless lagi waktu Didi nanya.
Didi : “tokonya lantai berapa?”
Gue : “eh toko apa yah?”
Didi : “tempat kita mau belanja”
Gue : *geleng-geleng sambil nyengir*

Ups…ternyata gue terlalu fokus browsing apa aja yang harus dibeli, tapi gue lupa buat browsing toko apa yang harus didatangi buat belanja murah hehe *my bad Mr. D*

Tiba-tiba gue inget kalau waktu itu pernah nganterin temen gue beli kado di ITC Kuningan dan dia sempet bilang bahwa disitu termasuk lengkap dan murah *light bulb*. Nama tokonya Wiwi & Zaza, Lantai Semi Dasar Blok C2 No.2, 9, 10 dan C1 No.8 ITC Kuningan.

Makin yakin kalau di toko itu murah karena waktu kita belanja toko itu rame banget sama sesama bumil yang hunting barang-barang bayi.

Dengan berbekal contekan daftar belanjaan dari tokonya dan ingatan samar-samar dari Daftar Perlengkapan Bayi yang udah kita siapin, berikut hasil belanjaan kita:

Sebagai tambahan dari hasil belanja diatas, kita juga beli 8 pcs baju dan celana diskonan yang satunya dihargai Rp 10.000. Belakangan kita tau kalo baju dan celana bayi memang harganya segituan…hicks.

Oh ya…kita juga berhasil membujuk mbaknya untuk memberi kita gratisan 1 topi bayi lucu *kayaknya sih dikasi gratis karna dia kesel topinya melar gara-gara di uji coba sama Didi di kepalanya* harga asli si topi bayi adalah Rp 15.000.

Total belanjaan kita di ITC adalah....*suara tabuh drum* Rp 819.000 dengan diskon yang sungguh basa basi Rp 4.000, jadinya Rp 815.000.

Kita ga bisa bilang murah juga sih, karena ternyata Dinda belanja di tempat lain dengan harga yang lebih murah.

Setelah belanja akhirnya gue browsing buat riset rekomendasi toko yang murah *agak telat yah*. Suara terbanyak bilang bahwa di ITC Kuningan toko yang paling murah adalah the Jungle dan Ocha. Untung sesi belanja belom berakhir hehehe…*mata berbinar-binar*

Pelajaran penting sebelum belanja perlengkapan bayi:
1. Siapkan Daftar Perlengkapan Bayi
2. Riset tentang rekomendasi toko bayi yang lengkap dan murah
3. Survey harga

Sekedar saran, beli segala sesuatu dalam jumlah secukupnya aja. Ga usah banyak-banyak…soalnya Newborn itu ukurannya cepat berubah. Sayang kalau udah beli banyak-banyak trus cuma kepake sekali dua kali, atau bahkan ga kepake sama sekali.

Jangan terlalu percaya sama mbak-mbak yang jualan. Kalau ditanya apa yang perlu, pasti semuanya mereka bilang perlu. Lebih baik nanya sama temen atau saudara yang anaknya juga masih bayi apa yang pada akhirnya kepakai dan apa yang nggak (sekalian tanyain ada barang yang masih layak buat diwariskan nggak =D).

Baby Shopaholic

They say,,,it’s a jinx to spend your money on any baby stuff before entering the 7 months pregnancy.

Then again, they also say not to cut your finger nails at night…though nothing actually happens.

Baby’s stuffs are too adorable and irresistible to be bought…that’s why you better watch out or else it will drain the money out of your pocket.

To avoid spending too much, you need a baby shopping checklist. I managed to collect some of it from blogwalking and some of it from my friend and family’s experiences.

Our Wedding: "And the Thank You Goes To..."

6 months already and we haven’t had the chance to write about the wedding. So here it goes…

The special THANK YOU definitely goes to our family and friends. Our facebook status would stay single if it wasn’t for you all.

1. Venue

Make sure it fits your invitees. Remember, too big or too small is never a good thing.

Some points you have to take into consideration before choosing the perfect venue:

a. outdoor venue is not a perfect choice for a wedding during the rainy season;

b. sufficient parking lot for your guests;c. have several make up rooms; and

d. strategic location and your guest wont be stuck in traffic jam for hours just to get there.

Our choice was Masjid Pondok Indah…highly recommended! Good price, well organize management, complete facilities, lots of parking lot and strategic (since we both stays in Bintaro)…perfect for a 300 guests wedding reception.

Guess what, it also has a good landscape and lighting so your photos would look great!!!

2. Caterer

The caterer would be the number 2 high priority after the venue. Book a caterer way before your wedding, if necessary a year before…their price will increase every end of year. By booking early, the new price may not apply to your wedding.You really have to underline bold and italic your budget to the caterer and be persistent in requesting compliments.Our choice was Resti Catering.

The main reason was the owner is a good friend of Mr.D’s family, so we got a really good price and lots of compliment.

One of my favorites was the old school bicycle accessorised with flowers and fruits (free fruits!! Yeaaayyy…).

Most of our guest’s testimony : THE FOODS WERE DELICIOUS…so we need to say no more.

And oh…the service was satisfying and their decoration was nice.

3. Decoration

With reference from several wedding magazines, I we decided to design the decoration ourselves. Luckily, we found a perfect man to do the job with a very very veryyyy low budget, namely Pak Parmin. He handled our flower decoration and added torches for the entrance doors (he also gave me a free hand bouquet with my favorite flower: Stargaze).

For the traditional decoration, we got a generous donation from a close friend of Mr.D’s family who owns a Makassar wedding pelaminan and she’s quite famous for that. Her name is Tante Aseng (her name is all over certain wedding magazines).

4. Souvenir

Our ‘do-it-yourself’ souvenir was complimented by most of our family and friends. We bought the candies and biscuits at the traditional market, bottles from chemical store at Pasar Mester and colorful ribb

ons at Pasar Majestik.

Its colorful and perfect most importantly: CHEAP, just the way we want it…

5. Make Up

Here’s my favorite, the make up stylist…her name is Chocky (don’t mind the name, she’s great), owner of a small beauty salon in Bintaro.
She managed to change my look from Sunda-look-a-like for akad to a Makassar bride for the reception. The make up was not too much but it still look great for the camera.

6. Photographer
Me and Mr.D loves candid pictures since we’re so not good for the ‘1..2..3..click’ pictures. That’s our basis to find our photographer. However, we would not highly recommend ours. You see, the owner is a great photographer. He captures the moment perfectly. His business is growing and now he doesn’t do wedding photography himself. He sent his assistant instead and his assistant obviously had no idea what we wanted. We didn’t like almost all the pictures…regrets..regrets ooohhhh…

Fortunately, my brother took the initiative to take our pictures and he did great!!! Good news is, he is now doing business in photography, including wedding photography. For any pictures reference, please visit his facebook page or here.

7. Invitation
With a very close negotiation, we successfully got a hard copy and self-design invitation with a price below Rp5,000. How bout that?Please do not hesitate to contact Mba Asri from Aneka Grafika, Pasar Tebet…

We also got a compliment of Thank You card and Souvenir card. In addition to that, we also got a Guest Card as a substitute of Guest Book for a very low price. Very happy!!!

8. The Bride’s Dress

For some reason, I made my bride’s kebaya 2 weeks before the big day. I only have a short list of tailors and I have no idea what the kebaya would look like with the time constraint. I have an issue with tailor, I don’t trust them…they always ruin my imagination on what kind of kebaya that I want.

Based on a quick reference, I found Mba Teeas. She agreed to finish the kebaya 2 days before the big day and she did!!! *standing ovation*

It was a very pretty kebaya with lots of white beads and fits me perfectly.
Her boutique is located in Pondok Indah, her neighbor is Ahmad Dhani and Mulan lives across *info ga penting hehe*

9. Pre Wedding Pics

We're not a fan of pre wedding picture, but we surely are a fan of Gratisaaaannnn...^.^

Jadi wajar dong waktu ada temen nawarin foto buat portofolionya kita ga bakal mikir dua kali.

Untungnya teman kita si Ficky Reinanto ini, sangat memahami kelakuan kita yang ga suka diatur buat foto, gatau malu dan ga suka make up hehe...

Hasilnya: memuaskaaaannn...

Lalu mulailah saya menjadi calon pengantin tak tau diri yang meminta kalung dengan customized design (design by me lhooo hehehe)

Lagi-lagi Didi takut nyimpennya...trus aku di kosan hehehe hopeless deh...jadinya baru akan dibeli H-sebulan.

Honeymoon

We've been to Bali, Lombok and Yogya...Now we're running out of ideas!!! helppp...

Seserahan

The idea is to buy an item for each person every month.

So far, we have a pretty cocktail dress for me, a cool shoe for Mr. D, a big multifunction bag for me, one cute navy T-Shirt for Mr. D and we bought this cute yellow towels package for he and she only for Rp199,900 (consist of 2 large towels, 2 gym towels and 2 face towels).

We have soooo many more items to go for, crossing our finger for another discount festive during Ramadhan, Christmas and New Year (and Valentine???).
